John attended San Diego State University and received his J.D. from Western State University College of Law (San Diego) in 1990. Throughout school, John worked and eventually started clerking with a law firm that was involved in the HOA industry and then was hired as an associate who solely represented HOA’s in construction defect litigation. He then opened up offices on behalf of various law firms in California as his reputation in the industry grew. In 1999, John started his own practice specializing in construction defect litigation with offices in Southern California and Arizona.

He has served in various capacities with Community Association Institute CAI (CA and AZ), California Association of Community Managers CACM and Arizona Association of Community Managers AACM and is often a speaker on construction defect litigation at national forums as well local luncheons and trade shows. With over 32 years of experience practicing only in the construction defect field, John has handled hundreds of cases and recovered millions of dollars on behalf of his clients, both through mediation and trial. He has extensive experience with the top construction consultants in the nation and the insurance companies who commonly pay the claims on behalf of the developers.
